LEASE A PONY
Passionate Horsemanship is a well established training center that is offering a hands on program teaching you how to train horses from the ground up!
This program is designed for people who want a first-hand look at owning a horse or pony before they make the purchase. Leasing is a perfect way to “get your feet wet” without making a long-term commintment. We are on the leading edge of teaching the most effective training methods available to those who wish to go beyond the norm. No prior horse experience is necessary, we will teach you what you need to know, students must be at least 12 years old with no upper age limit as adults are welcome. Students will take a gentle pony and with my instruction will learn how to safely handle a pony which will prepare you for your own horse.
In this program you will:
- Learn how to safely handle a pony- skills that will work with any horse
- Know what to do when your horse gets hurt, giving you peace of mind
- Know what types of brushes to use for grooming
- Learn to recognize good and bad behavior to keep you safe
- Learn about different types of tack and how it works
- Hands-on practical experience establishes a sense of accomplishment and progress
- Learn in a safe controlled environment
This program is designed around the tenets of using clicker training combined with my style of natural horsemanship. We use gentle training methods that help establish a bond between the pony and student. You will lease one of our ponies for one month, at the end of the month you are welcome to continue on for another month upon evaluation.
Lessons during the lease will help you to develop the skills you need to become a confident owner. The skills you learn will last a lifetime and will be something that you can use for any horse. 
The goal of the program is to give people a greater understanding of horse ownership, how they learn and how to stay safe around them.
I help you take the guesswork out of ownership because I believe that knowledgeable owners are safer and more effective.
To participate in this program, you must:
- Be 12 years of age or older;
- Must submit an application;
- Be willing to commit to a minimum of one month;
- Take a minimum of 2 private lessons per week;
- Must purchase an approved helmet
Additionally, one of the most important parts of this program is safety education. Students will also have the opportunity to meet other Students who share their love of horses, and you will learn about the inner workings of an equine environment in a hands-on setting.
The “Introductory” investment for this program is $297/month and includes 2 private lessons per week. Come prepared with an open mind and the right attitude and you will see some amazing results.
**No prior horse experience is necessary, but students must be able to walk unassisted for up to two hours, follow directions, be serious and have a passion for learning.
